“Quality is everyone’s responsibility.” – W. Edwards Deming

Welcome to the CAS Quality Standard and the CAS Organisation Self Assessment.

There are two options for you to choose from. One is the externally assessed and supported Quality Standard and the other option is the Organisation Self assessment which your organisation can work towards to demonstrate its effectiveness and efficiency.

In order to sign up to one of these options  please click on ‘Join here’ and complete the online application form.

The CAS Quality Standard is endorsed by Suffolk County Council and the Suffolk Local Safeguarding Children Board. It is externally assessed by the Quality Standards Awards Panel comprised of Community Action Suffolk, Suffolk County Council Commissioning,  Suffolk Local Safeguarding Children Board and the Suffolk Safeguarding Adults Board. It was developed in 2005 by VCSE sector organisations, for VCSE organisations.

The CAS Quality Standard and Organisation Self Assessment cover the main areas an organisation requires to demonstrate it is committed to quality. This ensures that the organisation has the structure, policies and procedures in place to be a safe, well run provider of services.

They cover four crucial organisational areas:

  • Safeguarding
  • Health, safety and welfare
  • Staff recruitment and development
  • Organisation Management
